You kind of get into the fic, it is a story that grows on me. I think you have too much double-spacing running through the text. You might need to get your settings fixed or something. Not a bad start but I have a few comments.
Most of the problems I see are cosmetic. I suggest reading through the help posts on the forum to see how you can make your story more pleasing to the eye. ie. authors' notes go in the boxes provided or on the designated pages to avoid clutter.
Things to watch out for:
- Speech is stiff and formal sounding. No one would talk to their friends that way.
- Missing capitals
- Comma splices
Original sailor stories are tough to get right, but you seem to have an interesting story started here. I look forward to reading more. Good luck! |
