It could definitely use some editing, but I'm guessing this was one of your earlier pieces. It was a very fun read! Reminded me of the classic romance novel plot line. | | | | The story is good, but there are a few minor details that need to be worked out.
First of all, you have names and descriptions mixed up here and there, like Miles for Darien in the hovel scene and in a couple of instances, a cap of blond hair for Nephlite.
Second, whatever happened to Dave? If he's not going to do something useful for the plot, bad or good, then he's just extra baggage that should not be there in the first place.
And third, the baby doesn't start to move enough for one to feel it until around the fourth or fifth month, yet from what I gathered, the fetus is around 2-3 months. Now, it's two in the morning for me so if I missed where you said it's 4-5 months, then disreagrd this part of the review.
All in all, good story with a wicked irony to it. Just needs a few wrinkles ironed out. |
