What I love about this first chapter is how you've set the stage, wolves are intriguing creatures, many readers like them for differing reasons, as with the magical tales of David Eddings wolves are currently in vogue, in much YA fiction.
Woves are powerful, sexy and a genre that seems to hold its own up there with many other magical creatures, and more-so add to that the romantic, the dramatic, the intriguing and supernatural, and you've a recipe forf 'edge-of-your-seeat' adventure that keeps you coming back for more.
