I like how you set things up in this chapter, the layers of intrigue, how events unfolded had my attention all the way through - great job Soleil! X ^_^
People can be so cruel, but you painted a good picture of the events as they unfolded, and the imagery of the sea, that was a nice way to finish this chapter - well done! ^_^
I loved how the prologue opened up the story, mystery and a kind of almost Harry Potter feel, and chapter 1 Michelle's struggles, so realistic and you feel empathy right off the mark, great writing, looking forward to reading more. ^_^
