Everyday, I see this same girl at school, always in the bathroom after each class, always washing and re-doing her make up. So I decided to write a poem about her, only to find out that she is so similar to me...

This is soooo thought provoking! it is a cry from the heart of the young innocent sacrificed upon the altars of social - peer convention! I love this as it opens the mirror to us all about being true to one's self & reclaiming that which is never really lost if you see the real face within!

Beautiful Starry! *huggles*

The sad thing is that it's true... Anyways, I love the poem, Starra!! Very deep, and really well written. Keep up the good work! ^_^

Yeah, this is a good poem. It really portrays today's teenage girls.

I think this is a poem that will resonate with many people--I know it has with me.

The language communicated a consistent tone that wasn't overly dramatic. I liked your use of adjectives we could really feel (e.g. "soft skin"). You didn't take on too much, but kept your focus. And you elaborated several facets of that focus in an interesting way.
